The first step in creating a Reverend Fun cartoon is coming up with a good idea. I am lucky to have many friends and fans who help me out in that department. Other times I drink coffee and Mountain Dew until I start coming up with ideas.

Once I have a good idea for a cartoon and I've imagined how it will look when finished, I start making a very rough pencil sketch on old paper that we have lying around the office. This step is very loose and the layout often changes quite a bit the more I draw. Sometimes I even end up coming up with a whole new idea for the cartoon.
